This set of cards was produced by the Royal Marines Shop so that you can personalise your card table with a pack representing the United Kingdom’s elite Amphibious Force. These playing cards incorporate the Corps Colours and were designed with the history of the Royal Marines in mind. Bring the Corps flair, history & tradition to your playing table.
Suits are ranked in alphabetical order: clubs are lowest ranked, then diamonds, hearts and the highest ranking is spades. The Royal Marines Corps Colours each has a different significance. As a result, clubs are yellow representing the ‘old gold’ colour of the first uniform. Diamonds are green which represents the uniform worn by the Light Infantry. Hearts are red, the colour of the Infantry Tunic worn until 1876 and spades are blue showing the Corps as part of the Naval Service.
